Manual - Fireplace

 There is a functioning fireplace and you can use it. However be safe! Therefore there are a few guidelines to follow regarding the fireplace.

• Only adults are allowed use the fireplace, and tend to the fire.

• Never leave the fire unattended. Whenever you leave the loft or go to sleep make sure the fire is out!

• Whenever possible, crack a window when using the fireplace.

• Only burn dry firewood and use appropriate fire starters. No liquid fire starters, there should be some slow burn fire starters available in the wood basket next to the fireplace.

• Never overstock the fireplace. Only use 3 log at a time max.

• Use the fireplace screen to prevent sparks from burning the floor

• Keep the area around the fireplace clear.

• Never burn items like trash or items you don’t need in the fire place.

• There’s a fire extinguisher

• If in any case you start getting a head ache or start feeling light headed, immediately open the balcony doors and windows. Do not go outside on the balconies

How to use the fireplace.

1. Make sure the chimney is open! inside the fireplace there is a chain you can pull to open it. if it won’t go further it’ open.

2. Stack up to 3 pieces of wood max with some newspaper or cardboard in between and add up to 2 firestarters. You can light them with the supplied matches.

3. Close the curtain once it starts going.

If you require additional firewood we stack it in the garage (when you enter the building the door on the right and again the door on the right), please leave 10 € per basket on the fireplace. You will find matches and eco-friendly fire starters next to the fireplace.
